There are literally millions of different kinds of face products. It takes a lot of time and effort to look after your skin, the kicker is that if you aren’t using them properly, you aren’t going to be using them to their fullest potential. So, go down the list and if you need to, make some tweaks to your skincare regimen.
Wash your face twice a day, morning and night to be exact, to remove excess oils, dead skin and dirt from your pretty little pores.
This will further remove dead skin and make your skin smoother. Do not do this step more than 2-3 times a week though.
The skins pH is a balance between alkaline and acidic levels in your skin. Using a toner will balance those levels. *note* do not buy any toners that have alcohol in them. They will actually dry your skin and can age the skin faster.
My fave. I love a good serum. They really moisturize the skin, reduce inflammation, and prevent and smooth wrinkles.
Not only does moisturizer hydrate your skin, but it acts as a barrier and protects it from the elements and pollution.
Some people call this the most important step in their skincare routine. Everyone is different. If I do use one, I only use it at night because I find it can make my makeup go on thicker around the eyes which actually makes my lines more prominent. To each their own though.
This one is pretty important guys. If you’re worried about your skin and premature aging, then you’re going to have to do this step. Dermatologists say this is the most crucial skin care product because it prevents fine lines, wrinkles, blackheads, aging, and most importantly, skin cancers.
If you find that some days you don’t have the time for the whole shebang in the morning, then stick to washing, moisturizing and putting on some sunscreen. Save the longer, more in depth routine for at night before you go to bed. You’ll be amazed at the difference you will see in your skin with a bit of effort and correct application.
