Treat Yourself To Some Good Ol’ Southern Hospitality

I’ve been doing a lot of looking around for different drink recipes and I’ve learned a couple of things. One, I keep going back to the classics, and two, the south really likes their Bourbon. Being in Canada I feel as though we don’t drink nearly enough Bourbon or juleps, so I felt as though I had to rectify the situation. Put the wine down for a night and try these takes on the southern classic. Not only are they strong enough to make you forget about the mosquitos here (I think they’re definitely on to something with that), but they’re beautiful enough to serve at a fancy schmancy wedding. You and your friends will feel like you’re at the horse races.

P.S. Muddle- This means to press the ingredients against the side of the glass with a muddler aka anything that breaks up the ingredients. Although, if you’re going for the real southern deal, head over to any store that carries kitchenware and you’ll find a muddler no problem. I, however, will keep using the stick end of my wooden spoon thanks. I’m not that fancy……or southern.
