There are certain things that every woman has in her closet that are universal. The body type doesn’t matter, the bank account doesn’t matter, and the personal style doesn’t matter. These pieces are easily accessible and work on everyone. One of these things is what I’m going to discuss today, and that is the plain white t-shirt. You can dress a white t-shirt up to be numerous styles for whatever mood you’re in that day. Let’s take a look….
Rock And Roll
If you prefer and edgy vibe, then an easy way to add some edge to a classic white t is to throw on a black leather jacket. Add some skinny jeans, boots and a black leather bag and no one will question you or what your style is. A great way to throw some feminine glamour into such a tough look is with some red lips. If it’s cold out then add a beanie and some earrings to pull the look together. For those of you who don’t feel like wearing a leather jacket, then try some leather pants. There is nothing more rock and roll than leather pants.
Bohemian
Nothing says boho like lots of jewelry and fur. You can pair your white t with high waisted denim or wide flares and a great vest with fringe or fur. Add your favorite necklaces, bracelets, rings and floppy hat. Or if you’re wanting more of a flowy vibe, then pair with a long and floaty kimono jacket. If you are going for the flowy look, then pair with some skinny jeans and over the knee boots for some extra boho glam.
Classic
I love a great classic or preppy look. If you want to prep up your plain white t, then simply add a blazer. A blazer looks very country club the second that you put it on. Pair with your favorite boot cut dark denim and simple and elegant jewelry.
Glam
Yes, you can totally wear your white t to a glamorous function. All you have to do is pair it with a full skirt. I personally love this look. It’s a great way to pull off something unexpected without being too wild or loud. Pull your hair back, have full glam makeup on and your sparkliest jewelry to amp up the glam factor. Then relax because not only do you look amazing, but you’ll actually be comfortable all night.
Sexy
I know that initially when you think of a t-shirt, you don’t necessarily think of sexy. You probably think of what you’re wearing while you clean the house. When you tuck it into a miniskirt and add some heels though, you’re the perfect amount of sexy. A great way to show off your legs without being too exposed up top.
Masculine
One of the ways that I love to wear a white t-shirt is when you add it to a pair of boyfriend jeans. Add a little plaid, sheepskin coat or a wool scarf to this and you will achieve exactly what you’re aiming for. A masculine touch that’s still feminine. Wear your hair down when you are trying out this look to add a little softness so that it’s not too harsh.
