Everyone has a specific fashion style that they are drawn towards. Once you are able to pinpoint what you’re drawn to, shopping becomes so much easier. This should be YOUR personal style. It’s ok to draw a bit of inspiration, but make it your own. Otherwise your not choosing a style, your emulating someone else. Try to take a style and make it your own by adding some of your own personal touches. Everyone is different and likes different things, especially when it comes to fashion. Don’t be afraid to let yourself shine through. Also, don’t focus on the label of your style. Being “sporty” isn’t about wearing something that makes you look like your going to a tennis match. Lots of these styles will blend together. A sporty style just means more of a loose and casual vibe. So if you fall into more than one category it doesn’t mean you have multiple personalities, it just means you pull your inspiration from more than one thing. So check it out and see if you can pinpoint your favorite look.

Bohemianimage
This is a vintage, romantic, free spirited look. Kind of like a dressed up version of you got dressed in a van……and still managed to look fabulous. This look shouldn’t be taken to seriously or come off as too fussy. It should be more laid back and carefree. Even if you’re wearing sequins it still shouldn’t be too put together. You’re comfortable enough to throw on a print, but will tone it down with earthier colors. Your style icons will probably lean towards Rachel Zoe, Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, and Nicole Richie. Chloe, Missoni, and anything vintage would be right up your alley.

Bombshellimage

This is a total kitten with a whip look. Glamorous, sexy, confident. Think body hugging ensembles, animal prints, and bling. This is for someone not afraid to show what they have to offer, and you love to show off your femininity. You’re not shy about wearing red or showing some cleavage on a simple run to the store. When done the right way, your absolutely comfortable with showing both cleavage and thigh. Your style icons are Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, Eva Mendes and Jennifer Lopez. Versace, Gucci, Tom Ford, Roberto Cavalli, Dolce and Gabbana, and Herve Leger are some labels worthy for you to lust after.

Classicimage

This look will always be timeless and simple. You’ve never met a blazer, a pair of straight cut jeans, a pair of black boots or a strand of pearls you didn’t like. You are the epitome of timeless chic, and you always look put together even if your wearing a scarf with a Tshirt and jeans topped with unfussy and beautiful hair. Your fashion soul sisters are Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Anniston, and Reese Witherspoon. You love to wear timeless colors that never go out of style like grey, black, white, navy, camel, khaki and burgundy. Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Burberry, and Chanel embody everything you feel comfortable in.

Eccentricimage

You’re more of a unique and wild risk taker when it comes to fashion. Nothing is off limits. You like mixing prints and getting dressed in a more off kilter way. You don’t like playing it safe. Your signature is that what you’re wearing shouldn’t make sense…..but somehow you make it work. Your inspiration is pulled from Rihanna, Madonna, Katy Perry and Gwen Stefani. L.A.M.B, Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Betsey Johnson all have the quirkiness that you love.

Edgy/Rockerimage

You prefer to have a dark, mysterious, and more of a hard edge to your look. You would never be caught in something too girlie or pink. You love bags with spike hardware, edgy jewelry, anything black and lots of leather. You miss the way Angelina Jolie used to dress and pull inspiration from model Cara Delevingne, and Rihanna. Some designers that catch your eye are Alexander McQueen, Balmain and Givenchy.

Ladyimage

You aim to be the embodiment of the word “sophisticated”. You love a feminine look without it being too young and girlie. Your goal is to represent yourself as a classy and elegant woman through what you wear. You love a structured silhouette, pencil skirt and wrap dress. Some of your favorite ladies are Audrey Hepburn, Grace Kelly, Victoria Beckham and of course, Kate Middleton. Your major “want” item is a timeless Kelly or Birkin bag. Designers who you are drawn to are Valentino, Hermes, Carolina Herrera, Marchesa,bDiane Von Furstenburg and Elie Saab.

Minimalistimage

Words to describe your style would be clean, subtle, and simple. You like a classic style with a modern edge. You would never be caught dead in a neon color or a loud print. You prefer to be quietly refined. Your style crushes are Angelina Jolie (now), Emma Stone, and Michelle Williams. Your closet is packed with grey, black and white. What you lack in color though, you make up for in material. So you enjoy a good cashmere, as long as it fits into your color protocol. Designers you go back to are Celine, Jill Sander, Prada, and Alexander Wang.

Fashion Forwardimage

You are bold, trendy, adaptable and a bit of a chameleon. Think Carrie Bradshaw. You love to mix and aren’t afraid of prints or mixing styles. However, you’re not willing to be as wild and out there as an eccentric dresser. When you shop you gravitate towards statement necklaces, colors, patterns and textures. You would be totally comfortable raiding the closets of Sarah Jessica Parker, Heidi Klum, Demi Moore and Leighton Meester. Designers that you’re dying for are Marc Jacobs, Balenciaga, Lanvin, Stella McCartney, Michael Kors and Zac Posen.

Preppyimage

Your key style words are intellectual, old money, and prep school chic. You would never be caught dead wearing anything that shows too much skin, and you think that loud animal prints and too much sparkle is tacky. You enjoy the refined prep style of Olivia Palermo, Rachel Bilson, and Alexa Chung. Your closet is packed with polo’s, button up blouses, cardigans, bows and anything equestrian. You find that you have a close fashion connection with Lacoste, Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, and J.Crew.

Sportyimage

You are relaxed, easy going, nonchalant and cool when it comes to style. You don’t take any of it too seriously and don’t like anything that’s too fussy. You like to be able to move well throughout your day and would never consider wearing anything that you would have to constantly adjust. Your fashion bestie would be Cameron Diaz, and you can’t get enough of her perfectly fitting ripped jeans and collection of loose tank tops. You like the easiness of designers Alexander Wang and Rag & Bone.

Once you find what style you are more prone to, you can start acquiring the pieces that you never realized you would wear everyday. Fashion is supposed to be somewhat comfortable. If you are playing dress up and dressing in a way that you aren’t truly comfortable with, then it will show. You’re not playing the part of someone else. The key is to find what makes you happy and work with it. Tweak it and play with it. Then you will have a style that’s truly all your own.
