Recently I was inspired by Modani modern furniture to create a room incorporating their pieces into my style. I wanted to share the mood board with all of you and give you a little input about the products I chose and why I chose them. I hope that you like it as much as I do. image

The thought process behind my choices was that I wanted a feminine room that still had modern and masculine touches. A perfect mix while maintaining a warmth that made you feel at home. Livable elegance. The pieces that I chose are as follows:

Wall color
I chose a french pink wall wall color to balance the modern pieces of furniture. I thought it would be a great way to add some warmth to the room as well.

Lighting
For a lot of people, lighting is a very important part to a room. I chose the Alix ceiling light in black for a nice overhead glow and the Barcelo lamp in black for those nights when you want to curl up with a good book. Both have silver accents for a little bit of grown up glamour.

Furniture
I love the look of clean white and silver furniture. Modani’s Onyx sofa in white and Savina lounge chair in white were the perfect fit. Equally beautiful alone or paired together, they also pulled the silver elements of the room together. To add a little bit of interest, I added their suitcase shelves and the silver chest. The silver chest is so amazing I would personally use one or two placed together as a coffee table. It’s very unique and a great conversation piece.

Accents
I love a beautiful mirror and have one in almost every room of my home. The mirror I chose was the Caravaggio oversized mirror in white. It pulls the white and silver throughout the room up onto the wall. Paired with the french pink it comes off as timeless yet fresh. I chose light silver and dark grey silver throw pillows to add a little bit of depth to the couches and chair. Adding some darker pieces will help your pieces stand out a bit when you are dealing with lighter colors. I then added the Mateo rug in pewter to pull the few dark pieces in the room together. So basically there are dark pieces mixed into every focal point: ceiling, sitting, and floor. Modani’s silver Valor vase finished the room and would be a perfect addition to sit on top of the suitcase shelves in the room.

Add Ons
I added a couple of my own elements. Pink peonies in a silver vase to add another small focal point of pink besides the walls and a white Diptyque candle. Candles would add warmth to the wall color and the lights would dance off of all of the silver accents throughout the room. Personally I would also incorporate a great white fur throw on the back of the sofa and a silver skull to sit on top of the silver chest. Add some fashion books in black and white and I would be in heaven.

I hope that you enjoyed a look into how I would style a room and took a little bit of inspiration away from it. It was a lot of fun and I definatly went a little outside of my comfort zone. Here is a link to Modani if you want to incorporate some of their pieces into your own space.
