Have you ever wanted to be “crafty” and then half way through your project realized that after cutting yourself 13 times, gluing your finger to your pants and getting paint on your floor the only thing that you managed to craft was a pile of garbage? I have. I promise though that if you follow these simple directions to crafting this beautiful wreath, you will feel like a crafting superstar.
What You’ll Need
1. Floral craft ring.
2. Fake hydrangeas on stems (grab the same amount as the holes in your floral craft ring)
3. Wire cutters.
4. Burlap ribbon or your ribbon of choice.
5. Drill (don’t be scared, but be careful lol)
Steps
1. Snip your hydrangea stems off about an inch and a half below the flower using your wire cutters.
2. Take a look at the stem width compared to your floral craft ring. If the stems are to large to feed through, then take your drill and find a bit with a width that matches the width of the stems. Widen the holes a bit.
3. Feed your hydrangea stems through the holes in the craft ring and bend down at the back so that the stem is flat against the craft ring and locked into place.
4. Repeat this step to fill every hole in the floral craft ring with the hydrangea stems. If you are using more than one color of flower, remember to alternate colors as you go.
5. Add your burlap ribbon and you’re done!
And with that you just completed an amazing wreath. Remember that you can do this with any flower that you want. Another easy way to make your own personalized wreath is to purchase a wicker wreath, your flowers of choice and whatever accents you want. Simply cut the stems of your flowers so that they are short enough that you can easy entwine them into the wicker to get the flower to stay. Affix your accents with some hot glue and add your ribbon. Again, very easy with beautiful results. If you end up trying either of these don’t be shy and upload a picture of it under the comments. I would love to see them!
