Sometimes you might run out of a product and need a quick and easy replacement, or maybe you didn’t realize that a lot of products you own can be used multiple ways. Whatever the case may be, there are plenty of sneaky tricks out there for women. You won’t believe how genius some of them are.
- Prevent blisters when breaking in new shoes by rubbing some deodorant on the backs of your heels before slipping them on.
- Running out the door and your roots are greasy? A dab of baby powder ran through your hair will freshen it right up.
- Spray your bobby pins with hairspray before you use them so that they stick in your hair better.
- If you have a patch of very dry skin, apply Chapstick to it rather than regular moisturizer. The thicker more moisturizing formula will get rid of it faster.
- The gel from an Advil liquid gel will get rid of a pimple ASAP.
- Holding a pencil eyeliner in a lighter for a second will turn it to a gel consistency and will glide on better (let it cool for a second before applying).
- Add visible to flaky mascara to make it like new.
- Apply baby powder to eyelashes before you apply your mascara. It will double their length and thickness.
- Add some Chapstick or Vaseline to a dab of eyeshadow for a custom lipstick.
- Spray Pam cooking spray on freshly done nails to prevent smudging.
- Brown sugar and honey make a great moisturizing body scrub for the shower.
- Use white eyeliner on your lower waterline to make your eyes look larger.
- For a monochromatic makeup look, use the same blush for cheeks, eyeshadow and lips.
- Spray an old, clean, toothbrush with hairspray to comb over stubborn flyaway hairs.
- Paint nails with a white nail polish first before applying color to make it brighter.
- Braid hair into 3 or 4 braids and flat iron them for quick waves.
- A small dab of regular lotion can be used as a leave in conditioner.
- In a pinch, dab lipstick on your cheeks for an instant cream blush.
- A dab of white eyeshadow on the inner corners of your eyes can make you look like you got an extra couple hours of sleep.
- Adding mint essential oil to any of your lip glosses turn them into a plumping lip gloss.
There are so many multiple uses to your products, especially when it comes to makeup. Get in touch with your inner mad scientist and play around. If Macgyver can make a basement torpedo only using rocks, sticks, rags, a pipe and a boiler, then just imagine the uses you can come up with for those lipsticks.
