Where does one even begin with Sarah Jessica Parker? Her street style is almost as enviable as her alter ego Carrie Bradshaws. If you have been living under a rock for the past decade, then I’m talking about the lead character in Sex And The City. It seems as though Sarah took a lot away from being styled for television. Whether she mixes dainty diamond necklaces layered with tough gold chains and pairs them with jeans or puts on a full blown Alexander McQueen tartan ball gown, the woman always brings it. She manages to pull off a quirky high and low mixture that looks easy to achieve yourself at home. I like to describe her look as perfectly imperfect. She has definitely learned what compliments her over the years, and sticks to very flattering hair colors and a more muted and fresh makeup palette. The clothes on the other hand, she isn’t afraid of. She will wear color, spikes, feathers and will mix patterns in such a way that it never comes off as being too fussy. She is the only woman I have ever envied in army print cargo pants ( by the way she mixed them with a striped top, gold jewelry, and high heels to perfection). When it comes to style, the woman knows what she’s doing. Do I need to even bring up her shoe game? It’s her calling card. Sarah is known for her ( and Carrie’s ) collection of amazing shoes. Recently she started her own shoe line, and it is not disappointing. Her SATC characters namesake shoe is personally my favorite, and can be worn everywhere and anywhere. Which is kind of how SJP does things. I’m usually not one for jumping all over something designed by a celeb, but if I can emulate her style a bit then I will almost do whatever it takes. There is a reason why the woman shuts down every red carpet she walks on, she knows style.
