My birthday is quickly approaching. However, because I am not allowing anyone to refer to it as a birthday, I’m thinking of calling it champagne day. If you say “Happy Champagne Day Steph!” I will kiss you. If you say “Happy Birthday” I might bite you. Basically I’m writing this for all my friends to read. Hint hint. And because I’m such a good friend that’s not going to lead you astray, here are some recipes that just so happen to call for champagne. Lets do this.

Mimosa’s…..Because Its Ok To Drink These In The Morning

So all this is is champagne mixed with orange juice. It’s personally one of my favorite drinks because you’re allowed to drink it with breakfast. I don’t know who made that rule, but my hat is off to them.

Champagne Popsicle Cocktail

This is super easy and looks amazing. You just put a Popsicle in a nice glass and pour your champagne over it. The flavors mix together for a little bit of bubble fun. Plus it’s cute.

Rock Candy For Adults

Place a stick of rock candy in a champagne flute. You can pour your champagne over it so that the flavors mix, or you can use it as a sexy stir stick. Whatever floats your boat. I know myself too well though and it would get stirred once before I completely annihilated the rock candy.

Champagne Ice Cubes

You can simply put some champagne into ice cube trays and freeze it. Then you can add a little bubble to anything that you’re drinking.

Simple Bellini

This is a simple mix of champagne, peach purée, and raspberry purée. It’s super easy and full of flavor. Plus I think this is another alcoholic beverage you can drink in the morning without being given the side eye.

Death In The Afternoon

Well, doesn’t this sound like a fun one. This drink is made up of champagne and absinth. I personally am not running out to try this. But maybe some of you like to walk on the wild side.

The Classic

Soak a sugar cube in bitters. Add to the bottom of a champagne flute and slowly pour the champagne over top.

Cotton Candy Isn’t Just For Kids

Fill a glass with cotton candy. Pour champagne over it. It will dissolve immediately and be a more fun alternative to a sweet treat.

Champagne Mojito

Muddle 6 mint sprigs, 3 teaspoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of lime juice and 1 lime wedge. Strain mixture and add to champagne flute. Add champagne. This drink is minty and fresh. Perfect for drinking outside.

Fun Fruit

You can add fruit to any champagne if you’re looking for more of a pop of flavor. I prefer to place frozen fruit in the bottom of the glass so you get the benefits of flavor and ice cubes. You can use everything from berries to nectarine slices.

The Fuck It

This is where all of us are too lazy to do any kind of mixing so we buy a case of beer instead.

I hope you try some of these delicious takes on champagne. It’s a fun way to celebrate something special. If you have any other ways you like to mix it up let me know!
