Every once in a while I like to go through what I carry with me when I leave my house. I don’t necessarily keep all of these things in there if I’m going for a night out. However, if I’m with my five year old son, these products are all in there. I’m sure that you parents know what life is like when your child outgrows their diaper bag and grows into your bag. Here are a list of products that work for both you time and mommy time.

- Clarins Sunscreen. This sunscreen oil goes on really light, protects you from the sun very well and because it’s an oil it leaves your skin with a nice sheen. It also doubles as a hair oil too, so you can use it for scalp protection if you and your little one hit the pool. Just a little does it and it lasts.image

- Marc Jacobs Lip Gloss. This lip gloss does a great double duty job of lip gloss and lipstick. It has just enough color to make you look fresh but is sheer enough that if you put it on without a mirror and get it on your nose it won’t leave a mark behind once you wipe it off.image

- Vintage Glasses And Sunglasses. If I don’t have enough coffee in the morning, I simply reach for some glasses if I have to leave my house. I’m not about to do a full makeup if I’m dropping my son off at school so I find that slapping on some glasses covers my shame.imageimage

- Wisp Disposable Tooth Brushes. These are mini pre pasted toothbrushes that you only use once. Great for if you and your child find yourself nose deep in chocolate cupcakes.image

- L’OCCITAINE en Provence Hand Cream. This hand cream comes in a great travel size and is super rich. It’s great for my hands and for my sons. It’s great to sooth his mosquito bites or any kind of skin reaction he has as well.image

- Perfume. I’m a complete perfume junky. I carry some with me all the time. You never know when you will end up going somewhere that you didn’t intend to go or if you’re ever the victim of a public bathroom. Just squirt some on your shirt, open the door, and go forward into the terror zone.image

- Oversized Earrings. I like to carry a big piece of jewelry with me. That way if we are out having a family day and decide to go out for supper I don’t need to run home and grab anything. I can always add a little bit to my outfit just by reaching into my bag.image

- Kate Spade Notebook. I like to write notes about things I want to discuss on Good As Gold Living. I don’t like to use my iPhone for that. I feel better if I take the time to write it down. Plus, if you write a grocery list down in there, even if you forget the new one you’ve written, you can probably just look at the old one and figure out that you need to pick up goldfish and school snacks.image

- Benefit Gimme Brow. This brow gel sweeps onto your brows with a wand so that it sticks to all of your little brow hairs. It’s great if you don’t want a full, penciled brow look. It’s also handy to keep with you in case those oversized glasses rub your filled in brows off during your travels.image

- Band Aids. My son could get bit by a monkey and would immediately feel better if I slapped a band aid on there. Therefore, band aids are around me at all times.image

- Smith’s Rosebud Salve. This is one of my all time favorite products. I use it about one thousand times a day. The light rose scent is really pretty, plus my son loves it as well. It doesn’t irritate his skin and he feels fancy when he gets to put it on himself.image

- Dior Creme Abricot Nail Cream. There is nothing worse than when you or your child is out and someone gets a hangnail with no nail clippers in sight. So that he doesn’t try to rip it off and bleed everywhere, I just slick some of this on to sooth it and keep the hangnail down on the nail bed so it doesn’t catch on anything.image

- Bobby Pins. Uuuuuum because they’re handy as fuck. Who wants hair falling in their eyes when they’re enjoying a nice day?image

- Wallet. How else would I hold three thousand business cards, seventeen half punched free coffee cards and eight pounds of loose change. With a wallet. That’s how.image

- Lucky Charm. I always have a lucky charm in my bag. Just a little bit of superstition. Plus, I would hate to not pack it and for my son to trip on the pavement and scrape his sweet face off. Better safe than sorry.image

- Metallic Bic Pens. I need something to write in my notebook with. Cash also like to draw me pictures. He watches a lot of the monster makeup show “Face Off” so he likes to draw me his monster “concepts”. His words, not mine. Pens are a frequent necessity.image

- Soap And Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lip Gloss. This lip gloss has a little hint of color and a whole lot of tingle. Great for a bee stung lips look.image

- Benefit They’re Real Mascara. I like to carry a mascara in my bag for just in case. I rarely have makeup on unless I’m on top of my game. That’s not very often. A swipe of this mascara and you look wide awake.image

- Cupcake Flavored Dental Floss. Trying to teach your child to floss isn’t a party. It is when the floss you’re using tastes like cupcakes! Plus, it’s a party for mom too.image

- Bribing Candy. Judge me all you want. I’m not too good to throw a piece of candy at a bad situation. Sometimes it’s hard on a little one to have to deal with appointments that even we as adults find boring. This is where candy comes in. Oh, and I like to eat candy too so it’s a win/win.image

I hope that I gave you some new ideas to keep with you at all times. These products are all really great. Give them a try and let me know what your think!
