So, I told you all a little while ago that I had one more Manitoba based beauty company that I wanted to tell you guys about (for now anyway). It’s a makeup and skincare company called PurelyGorgeous Cosmetics and it’s based out of Winkler, Manitoba. Prepare to fall in love.

Rebecca Kroeker started her brand one night sitting around her kitchen table with a friend. She wanted makeup that was not only made of natural products, but was also great quality and good for your skin. She succeeded. No chemicals, no animal testing, no animal by products, no talc, no gmo’s, no artificial colors, no boron nitride, no artificial fragrances, no gluten and no sulfates is exactly why the companies slogan is “beauty with a conscious”.

Rebecca is a mother of two beautiful daughters, a wife, a brand and a consumer of cosmetics. Her passion and respect for women is exactly why she wanted to listen to what women wanted for their skin. And even more importantly, why she wanted to create something that got rid of all of the harmful agents they didn’t realize that they were getting in their other products. To hear her talk about how she really wants to bring women what they are looking for and to call all of the women who have been a part of PurelyGorgeous (from purchasing products to testing) a “blessing”, you can tell she truly stands behind her products and is really trying to make a difference.

I asked Rebecca what her favorite products were from her line, and she said that after winter she really could see a difference after using her skincare line. The essential oils, the PH Balanced Foaming Cleanser, the Argan Oil, and the Organic Facial Scrub have all made a huge difference in her skin. I myself have tried some of the products and wanted to give you a quick rundown about them.

Lip Balm in Coconut Dreamimage

Formulated with organic castor oil, jojoba oil, olive oil, Shea butter and cocoa butter to protect and moisturize your lips, this lip balm did just that. It has a very nice and light coconut scent ,glides on smoothly and is long lasting.

Organic Facial Exfoliantimage

This exfoliant was amazing. It has a wonderful fresh and clean smell. The exfoliating granules are the perfect size so that it’s not too rough for sensitive skin. You don’t need to use much at a time to see a difference in your skin after.

Lipstick in Allureimage

I tend to fall in love with a lot of lipsticks, so I had a friend try this one in front of me. She never uses lipstick so I figured that’s probably a more honest review than coming from a makeup junky like myself. She was floored. She loved the smell because it has a hint of mint and was also impressed with the richness of the color. Here’s the best part. The finish. It’s the perfect pearl finish. It’s not the matte or gloss we were used to! She also said that it glided on nice and smooth and was very hydrating. I felt the same way.

Bronzerimage

This pressed powder formula was very soft and smooth, not grainy at all and was great to blend. It goes on light in color so that you can easily build the color up so that you don’t end up looking muddy. It feels light on the face, doesn’t cake, and washes off easily. It’s the perfect bronzer to keep all the time in your purse for touch ups.

Blush in Blossomimage

With its smooth, pearlescent shine and fresh light pink color, this blush instantly makes you look more awake.

Blush in Flush

If you like double duty products, then you will really like this one. Again, the formula goes on very smooth and light, and has a nice amount of shine without being too much. This color, however, is the perfect universal peach color. Great on all skin tones, on cheeks and on eyes.

Pearl Eyeshadow in Oreimage

I’m usually not a fan of green eyeshadow, but this light kaki color is great for an evening out. It doesn’t crease, has a nice amount of sparkle, and is very easy to create a beautiful eye with.

Pearl Eyeshadow in Eve

This nice, soft brown is great for every eye color. It’s flattering on everyone and would be great for both day and night. I should point out that all of these eyeshadows have the same great shine to them.

Pearl Eyeshadow in Viola

I’ll be honest. At first I was pretty apprehensive about this one. I was very pleasantly surprised. This is an amazing light purple/silver color that doesn’t look too dark or too bright. This shade would be amazing on brown eyes.

Pearl Eyeshadow in Justice

This one had us confused….but in a good way. Is it earthy purple? Is it grey? Is it silver? Well, depending on the lighting, it’s all of the above. So basically it’s the only eyeshadow you ever need to buy. Again, it’s not too dark, blends easily and has the perfect amount of sparkle and shine.

Pearl Eyeshadow in Queen Cobra

This was my personal favorite of all of the colors that I tried. Mind you, I’m a sucker for a good peach color. This beautiful light pink/peach color could easily be used as a blush as well for a more uniform makeup look. This color paired with a tan would have you looking great all summer long.

I was so pleased with these great products made right here in our very own Manitoba! If you would like to look into trying them for yourself, you can contact PurelyGorgeous Cosmetics by:
